Nivea, Winter Owl Angel was created with the feeling of a quiet snowy woodland in mind. Soft whites, silvery blue-gray fibers and her tiny snowy owl companion give her a peaceful winter presence that works beautifully for Christmas as well as throughout the winter season.
I make each angel individually by hand using fine merino wool, silky fibers and soft natural wool blends. Her gown is built with layers of long, flowing fibers in winter white and icy-gray, giving it wonderful movement and texture.
She has large soft wool wings, long braided headpiece and gently sculpted facial features. Her tiny snowy owl is also individually needle felted by hand, making every angel and owl slightly different.
She is designed as a Christmas tree topper with a hollow base that fits over the top branch of your tree. She can also stand independently, so she can be displayed as a winter centerpiece, on a mantel or as a collectible fiber-art sculpture.
Available in approximately 9”, 11”, 13”, 15” and 17” sizes.
Measurements are taken from the bottom of the gown to the highest point of the angel.
You can personalize your angel with your preferred skin tone, hair color and hairstyle. If you prefer a traditional faceless Waldorf-inspired angel, I can create her that way as well. The snowy owl may also be changed to another small bird or omitted. Simply send me a message with what you would like.
I love that she doesn’t need to be put away immediately after Christmas. Her snowy palette and woodland owl allow her to remain part of a winter display long after the holidays have passed.
