Hazel, the Acorn Keeper & Her Robin
Hazel stands approximately 8 inches tall.
Her flowing autumn dress blends pumpkin, golden ochre, warm cream and woodland green. Tiny hand-felted flowers and leaves wind around her dress and hat, while long auburn wool hair falls beneath her woodland cap.
Nestled among the vines is Hazel’s little hand-felted robin companion, and at her waist hangs the treasure at the heart of her story—a wonderfully acorn.
She is designed as collectible seasonal fiber art for autumn displays, nature tables and woodland-inspired interiors.
Because of her delicate handmade details, Hazel is decorative art and not intended as a children’s toy.
Hazel’s Story
As a child, I loved playing with acorns.
I would collect them like tiny treasures. In a child’s imagination, something as ordinary as an acorn could become precious—the beginning of a game, a little woodland world, or an entire story.
I never quite lost that feeling.
Years later, those memories found their way into Hazel.
She wanders through the woodland gathering the little treasures autumn leaves behind. Acorns, berries, fallen leaves and tiny flowers are precious things in her world. A curious robin often follows along, watching from the vines while Hazel searches for her next discovery.
The oversized acorn she carries is a little reminder of childhood itself—when the smallest things could hold an entire world of wonder.
Hazel is made slowly by my hand, with the hope that she carries a little of that wonder into yours.
