This Christmas Messenger Angel is available in 8”, 10”, 12” and 14” tall. Each one is individually handmade by me from wool and natural fibers using needle-felting techniques.
She has large soft white wings, beautiful curled hair tied with deep Christmas red, a full winter-blue gown, snowy white branches, little red cardinals and a tiny bell in her hand. Every cardinal is made separately by hand and placed among the snowy branches of her dress.
I created this angel thinking about the little messages of love we carry with us at Christmas.
There is something very special about seeing a bright red cardinal in the quiet of winter. For many people, cardinals bring thoughts of someone they love, a beautiful memory, or simply the feeling that someone special is still close.
That is what I wanted this angel to hold.
Her little cardinals gather around her snowy winter tree while she carries her bell, as if she is bringing small messages of love from one heart to another.
