Saint Brigid of Kildare — The Eternal Flame
Available in approximately 6”, 8”, and 10” tall, St. Brigid of Kildare is needle-felted by hand from soft merino wool, silk, and natural fibers. She is available either as a standing figurine with a natural wood-slice base, perfect for a mantel, nature table, or seasonal display, or with a hollow base designed to rest gently on top of your Christmas tree..
Her gown flows in soft shades of green and ivory, inspired by the Irish landscape and the coming of spring. Her long red hair brings warmth to her gentle colors, while in her hands she carries a small flame, honoring the light traditionally associated with St. Brigid — a symbol of faith, hope, generosity, and care for others.
St. Brigid has long been associated with the warmth of the hearth, the renewal of spring, and a deep connection to the natural world. I wanted this little figure to carry some of that feeling — a quiet light for the home and a celebration of one of Ireland’s most beloved saints.
I love working with natural materials because they keep my work connected to nature and to the beautiful world that inspires each of my dolls. Every St. Brigid is handmade one at a time, so each one will be a little different and uniquely yours.
Created as a decorative collectible and not intended as a toy.
