Nivellea comes in 10”, 12” and 14” tall. Each one is individually handmade by me from wool and natural fibers using needle-felting techniques. She has soft white wings, long black and white dress, snowy curls, a winter branch crown and a little white owl resting in her arms.

She is designed as a Christmas tree topper, but her larger size also makes her beautiful displayed on a mantel, shelf or as part of a winter woodland arrangement.

When I created Nivellea, I imagined a quiet guardian walking through the forest after fresh snow. Her white curls remind me of snow resting on bare winter branches, while the black wool underneath gives her the dramatic feeling of a dark winter night. Her little white owl is her woodland companion, and one of the details I especially love about her.

I wanted Nivellea to feel wise and peaceful rather than delicate—a mature winter guardian who watches over the snowy woods. Her flowing wool and natural branch-like crown give her a wild woodland quality, while her wings bring the softness beauty of Winter.

Every Nivellea is made individually by my hands, so her curls, wool textures, crown and owl will vary slightly. These small differences are part of the handmade process and make each one unique.
