Marcela is a one-of-a-kind 10” standing angel figurine, individually handmade by me from wool and natural fibers using needle-felting techniques.
She wears a flowing rose-pink gown made with layers of soft wool and beautiful specialty fibers, with delicate curls cascading through the skirt. Her large white textured wings create a dramatic silhouette, while her styled brown curls, tiny jeweled crown and hand-felted facial details give her an elegant, romantic character.
Long wisps of pink wool fall from her hands, adding movement and softness to the figure.
I created Marcela as a more detailed, expressive angel—something between a traditional Christmas angel and a small piece of fiber art. I especially love the contrast between her enormous white wings and the different shades and textures running through her pink gown.
Marcela is OOAK — only one is available. She is designed to stand on a mantel, shelf, display cabinet or holiday table and would also make a distinctive heirloom gift for an angel or fiber-art collector.
