Everelle comes in 5”, 6”, 8” and 10” tall. Each angel is individually handmade by me from wool and natural fibers using needle-felting techniques. She has large soft white wings, long brown hair, a deep Christmas-red dress and hat trimmed with snowy white wool, a little red bell in her hand, and a decorated Christmas tree felted directly onto her gown.
She is made as a Christmas tree topper, with a hollow base that allows her to sit at the top of the tree. The smaller sizes are especially lovely for tabletop and smaller trees, while the 8” and 10” versions have more presence on a traditional Christmas tree.
When I created Everelle, I wanted her to feel like the moment when the Christmas tree is finally decorated and the house begins to feel like Christmas. Her little tree is covered with red ornaments and snow, with a golden star at the top, while she carries her bell as if she is announcing that Christmas has arrived.
I especially love her traditional red, green and white colors. She has a simple, cheerful storybook feeling that reminds me of the Christmas decorations we bring out year after year and eventually become part of our family’s holiday memories.
Because I make every Everelle individually by hand, her hair, tree, ornaments and other small details will vary slightly. These little differences are part of the handmade process and give each angel her own personality.
